What is da’wah?

According to Quran 12:108, Allah says, “Say, ‘This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah ; and I am not of those who associate others with Him.’” Dawah is the act of inviting others to the religion of Islam, and can be performed towards both Muslims and non-Muslims. Giving dawah to a Muslim is important as it serves as a reminder to worship Allah and to encourage one another in their faith. It is a way of guiding them from darkness to light, promoting goodness and truth over evil and falsehood."

Why give Da'wah?

Calling people to Allah is a virtuous deed which brings great reward. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever calls others to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of those who follow him, without that detracting from their reward in any way. And whoever calls others to misguidance will have a burden of sin like the burden of those who follow him, without that detracting from their burden in any way.”(Narrated by Muslim, 2674)
