SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITEE
The MSA Justice Committee derives its mandate from the Qur’anic injunction to “stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even against yourselves…”. The Social Justice Committee works to translate this obligation into action among Muslims, the general student body, and the broader community. Alhamdulillah (All Praise belongs to Allah) by Allah’s will and baraka (blessings), in the recent years the MSA Social Justice committee took a leading role in putting in place many charity events and projects in collaboration with several well-established organisations in the city. From small initiatives like bake sales and clothes drives, to hosting big events such as organizing dinner for the homeless in Edmonton or distributing lunch bags to the needy, our team has taken it upon themselves to alleviate some of the struggles of our community.
